Oh yes I do! What I do is stick the spark plug, socket, and extension together then stick it into the spark plug hole, then once it is in there I attach the ratchet to the end of of. easiest way I've found to change the plugs.

Yup. I do something similar. And of course getting the coil packs back in takes an act of god.
I've gotten a full 4 plug swap down to about 45 min now. Which I think is decent.

Ha ha.. yeah I know what you mean. I've gotten the hang of it anymore though. I've found it easier to put the plugs back in with a short piece of fuel line. You get a solid feel of the threads so you don't cross them up.

2.5L Subies are cake. You need a plug socket with a built in universal and a locking extension - maks it much easier. The H6 3.0 is a PITA though...
I used to hate V6 Caravans for a while. Then I got to change some Thunderbird SuperCoupe plugs... night terrors for weeks.

I'm not that automotive-ly inclined but i remember it taking the better part of 2 or 3 hours to change the spark plugs on my old legacy wagon... I also did not have that contraption

If it makes you feel any better you need to do something very similar to remove the starter from early Miatas. Ask me how I know....

I believe that'd be a 6 point combo with bonus points for the double flexy ra-ché

Dont remind me of the joys of that one. Had a '91 Miata.
Did the Clutch which was doable.
Then the starter about 3 weeks later.
